It helps builders improve HERS Index Scores by improving documented HVAC system performance. In some climate zones this could reduce HERS Scores by as much as 6 pts.

With the national roll-out of the HERSH2O program, RESNET has updated its webpage for the program to provide resources to certified RESNET HERS Raters, builders, and water departments to better understand the program.

The Moving Forward bill includes a section dealing with the 45L federal tax credit for energy efficient homes, and includes other energy efficiency provisions such as rebates for retrofits of existing homes.
